About Us
Implementing mentorship programs in collaboration with local organizations and professionals can play a pivotal role in bolstering the confidence of young individuals. Such initiatives offer insights into various work roles, providing essential guidance and support for further education and courses.

Our Story
DCP has formed to directly and actively tackle, in partnership with other like minded bodies, the spectre of institutional racism that we believe is at the root cause of the many inequalities that Communities of Colour face in Britain today.
Who we are
Our philosophy is very much ‘Collaboration instead of Competition’.

Our Aims
We aim to work with local families and young people to break through the cultural barriers that prevent young people from our communities from progressing to employment or training pathways that young people wish to pursue.
We are working with the Burnley Thrive partnership in order to become fully integrated into one system that focuses on all young people in Burnley to easily get the much needed, support they require to pursue their goals and ambitions.
We are working with the community and local employment support partners to create culturally friendly Employment Support Portals within the heart of our communities that will act as a bridge between our communities and employment support services.
At present BASE X and other local consultants like Sajda Majeed are helping us to develop these ESP portals and creating partnerships with local businesses and various youth & community groups.
Our Core Values
- Gain different perspectives on all the different people and organisations
who have a touchpoint on a young person’s life. - Gain different perspectives on all the issues that shape a young
person’s experience. - Understand how those things come together to create specific
outcomes.
The above methods have proved invaluable in this report to develop a South Asian Youth & Community Partnership as well as working with entities such as Blaze Arts in order to start that long term racial ‘healing’ process for future generations to come.
